You’ve Built a Remarkable Life.
So Why Does It Feel Like Something Is Missing?
Existential therapy for high-achieving adults ready to move beyond success — and into meaning
You’re accomplished. Driven. Respected
From the outside, your life looks exactly right. But privately, there’s a question you can’t silence — Is this all there is?
The anxiety. The restlessness. The sense that you’ve been running toward something that keeps moving. These aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They’re signs that something important is asking for your attention.
This is existential work. And it’s the most important work you’ll ever do.
You might be ready for this work if:
— You’ve achieved the goals you set and feel unexpectedly empty
— You’re approaching or in midlife and the old map no longer fits
— You don’t know who you are outside of your career or role
— You’ve tried therapy before and it felt too surface-level
— You’re carrying a quiet sense of shame or unworthiness that success never quite erased
— You’re ready for honest, unhurried conversation — not a quick fix
Therapy That Goes Where It Needs To Go…
My work is rooted in existential therapy — informed by the thinking of Irvin Yalom and Viktor Frankl — and guided by genuine curiosity about your particular life.
There is no rigid protocol here. We follow what comes up. We examine meaning, identity, freedom, and purpose with the same rigor and seriousness you bring to everything else in your life.
This is not symptom management. It’s a deep, honest reckoning with what you actually want your life to be.
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Reed
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 13 years in private practice in Newport Beach, California. My Master’s degree is informed by family systems, relational growth and human development, while my undergraduate degree is in Existential, Phenomenological Psychology. This work is not just what I do, it’s how I think.
I work with high-achieving adults in person in Newport Beach and via telehealth throughout California. I understand this work personally as well as professionally — and I bring that to every session.
